Dear pathetic from 1/13/11. You are the one spreading hate. It is obvious you are a AGD trying to look neutral. No one in their right mind give AGD ratings better than AXO and DDD. You are pathetic.

(to below post) I don't think you understand my post. Sorry your reading comprehension is so poor. Try taking your misery else where.

someone please explain to me why there is so much hate and negativity on this site? Are there really this many unhappy and empty people at the University of Georgia? I am greek, have many friends that are and aren't but just don't know any that seem as miserable as the haters that post on here. Can someone tell me what they receive within themselves by spreading misery?

that there is way to much negative comments going on. UGA is big enough and diverse enough for everyone to find a place, greek or not. All this negativity and critical. mean spirited comments make everybody look bad. Lets lighten up. It's only greek rank---not world peace

Alpha Gams are involved in virtually every activity on campus, from intramural sports to honor societies, which further enhance a sister?s experience at the University of Georgia. Our chapter also actively participates in a number of campus wide philanthropies including Relay for Life, UGA HEROs, and UGA Miracle. While we strive to be actively involved on campus, we find it equally important to serve our community as well. We do this by volunteering around the Athens community with a number of different organizations including, the Athens-Clarke County Mentoring Program, Athens Canine Rescue, and St. Mary?s Hospital, in an effort to share our sisterhood by giving something back to the community. Because our sisters are involved in such a variety of organizations, it is easy to find someone who shares your same interests!

Alpha Gam sisters have the opportunity to live in a beautiful, historic home within walking distance of campus! And it's getting remodeled this summer to be bigger and even more beautiful!

Sisterhood is at the core of Alpha Gamma Delta?s existence. At Alpha Gamma Delta, each member has a group of loyal, friendly sisters to help her balance the many complexities of college life. Alpha Gamma Delta sisterhood extends beyond local college campuses. Our Fraternity?s International Conventions show the broad reach of our sisterhood and the sustainment of our traditions. Every two years, hundreds of our sisters gather together at Convention to rekindle existing friendships and create new ones.

Scholarship is one of the founding principles of Alpha Gamma Delta and is a key factor for membership. Successful alumnae serve as mentors to assist our collegians throughout their scholarly endeavors. In addition to being required to maintain a certain GPA to be in Good Standing, the international Fraternity recognizes each sister who receives a 3.14 GPA or higher each term with a Strive for Pi certificate.

By upholding these rigorous academic standards, Alpha Gamma Deltas are prepared for the work force. Our leadership opportunities, educational programming and focus on academics give our sisters the confidence to network with the thousands of Alpha Gamma Delta alumnae that span the continent.

The Gamma Alpha Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta was installed at the University of Georgia in 1923 and is the third oldest sorority on campus. After more than eighty seven years on campus, the ladies of Gamma Alpha continually strive to uphold and surpass the principles of sisterhood set forth by their eleven founding members through community service, scholarship, and sisterhood.
