As an active who went through formal rush last year, SK was literally no one’s first choice. Girls either ended up there because it was the next best thing after getting cut from all the other houses except for DZ, or ended up dropping out. Honestly, their dance competition is the only thing relevant about them and that’s just because all the other teams carry the event. Yikes.

To the person below: I’m personally a friend of a few ZTAs and others in greek life and all i gotta say is the only people who think this sorority is “falling off” are the few toxic SK’s who are trying to convince people that they’re climbing :’)

imagine wanting to be a top house so bad but still being irrelevant with 5 philanthropies. it’s like they tried to pick up more philanthropies to try and make up for them absolutely sucking. the girls are weird and awkward and they only mix with bottom house frats since none of the good ones wanna mix with DZ #2 LOL

I was really starting to like these girls but the way they feel the need to defend themselves on here really makes it seem like they have a reputation they’re trying to hide. I haven’t seen any other chapters be like that so I feel like it’s true that they “fell off”...kinda ratted themselves out :/

sigma kappa really isn’t a bad sorority to be in even though they’re not “ranked” high. they’re decently sized and still participate in events so you’ll still get that greek life experience. girls are a little awkward and they’re not the prettiest bunch + don’t have the highest attendance at parties but they all seem to really promote sisterhood which is a great thing. the bad apples that spend their time hating on other chapters though really gives them a bad rep :(

nice girls with a decent amount of diversity who are more focused on their sisterhood, academics, and philanthropy than anything else. some girls are more social, some aren’t but it’s pretty balanced in my opinion. girls are more cute than hot but that’s not a bad thing! they’re starting to show up more to events and we love to see ittt!

Most of them seem to mean well but obviously some don’t. It’s embarrassing how obsessed some of their members are about their image and they’re not accomplishing anything besides dragging the rest of their chapter down with them. Honestly if you wanted to join a sorority for the popularity boost even though those AREN’T the right reasons to, you shouldn’t have settled with one that you’re proving to be unhappy in.
