Going through recruitment many years ago, I really liked Phi Mu. However, I knew nothing about sorority life. They definitely know how to put on a good show during rush week, and they put their best girls on you if you’re pre-ranked one of the top girls coming through! I’m so thankful that I did not go Phi Mu because once I was on campus as a freshman, I got to really see what kind of girls/chapter they were. VERY catty, VERY exclusive and rude to those who were not part of their chapter. During recruitmwnt I thought that I made some good friendships and connections with these women (I prefed with them and one other sorority), but when I chose a different sorority as my number 1, they no longer spoke to me on campus and showed no interest in even quickly socializing with me at campus events/tailgating. So girls coming through recruitment! Be very mindful of the sorority that you choose. The ladies of Phi Mu know how to recruit the rich, pretty, popular girls - but that’s not everything. Once you’re in, you’re surrounded by girls who tear each other down and gossip about everyone. It’s really sad because it could be a good chapter.

This really is a wonderful sorority. You can’t judge the sorority based off of a few people in the chapter, and you can’t judge it based off what you read online. Most of the reviews are made by other sorority women in different chapters who are trying to defend their own social status. That just shows you their own character when they are tearing down someone else. I know so many sweet and funny girls in AOII who have been nothing but sweet to me.

Big turnaround from last semester. It seems like they are definitely coming up and hard. slowly becoming relevant. Awesome PC and Pi Kappa Aloha was lit. I guess they realized that having socials helps a fraternity’s popularity.
