University of Texas at Dallas - UTD 1.0 Frats are meh some could be middle tier at other schools but some are def bottom tier or considered a on campus club. Strats just clout chase and try to out clout perform each other. Nothing fraternal about Strats just a bunch of girls who pay for clout and have FOMO/anxiety if they aren't somewhere with people.

University of Texas at Dallas - UTD 1.5 Not a greek school and can not do anything without IFC breathing down Greek life's neck. Greek life is hanging by a thread and UTD culture does not accept Greek life. Greek life is too fraternal for 99% of UTD to understand. Most of the fraternities and sororities would 100% be Bottom tier at Greek life schools. Greek life members are basically high school kids who never got to party in high school or hang out with the cool kids. The only way they could be cool is being cool at a school filled with weirdos.

University of Texas at Dallas - UTD 3.0 There is no on-campus greek housing, which makes it unique to the school. instead, some sororities and fraternities rent houses and streets off-campus and cap it as their own. There is a growing exclusiveness for greek life because they're gaining spots in on-campus events. I like the diverse selection of different fraternities and sororities, and it's actually a bit easier to start one since UTD is still considered a new (undergrad) school. I'm sure greek life will have a better reputation at UTD in the future as the campus expands more.

University of Texas at Dallas - UTD 3.3 The Greek population at UTD is smaller compared to most Texas schools but average or sometimes even above average than Greek population at schools around the country. There is no fraternity or sorority row on campus so most Greeks rent houses or apartments near the university and so each organization might end up having several “houses” with one being the main party house and others being used for rush events, kickbacks, etc. The social scene is definitely above average compared to the rest of the university, many Greeks might not necessarily have house parties every week but they might end up going out to Uptown, Shops at Legacy or Deep Ellum several times per week. In addition, Greeks at UTD always have something to do, there is never a boring day unless you genuinely go out of your way to be introverted and unsocial. So relative to UTD, not compared to Greek life in the US, Greeks are easily above average in terms of attractiveness there isn’t one hot sorority or hot fraternity per se but there are a lot of very hot people in each organization, with some having more than others. The girl to guy ratio is surprisingly pretty equal among fraternities and sororities with about 200 pnms for girls and 200 pnms for guys in the fall and about 100 pnms respectively in the spring. Hazing at UTD is extremely lowkey, you won’t hear of it if you aren’t in Greek life and if you do hear of it it will be under good confidence, and all hazing that takes place is a joke compared to Greek life everywhere else. Finally, getting into the fraternity or sorority that you want is extremely difficult, it might not be hard to get into Greek life but getting into a top tier organization is a little bit of a challenge, for guys most top fraternities are looking for people that are studs, athletic, tall, good with girls, social, smart, competitive, etc. and for girls, the top sororities are looking for people that are hot, fit, fun, popular, social, intelligent, happy, down to earth, etc. Someone who might be missing a few qualities won’t mean they won’t get in, just as long as they prove that they willl be a valueable asset to the organization they will be taken in in a heartbeat. Wrapping everything up, Greek life at UTD is unique compared to other schools and it’s definitely a part of the school that is worth looking into, people meet their best friends, their husbands and wives and the experiences that come along with it you won’t find anywhere else. When you become Greek you are opened to a world that you didn’t know exsisted, you get to become a part of network centuries in the making and to many people becoming a Greek was the best decision made in their entire college careers.
