I heard a rumor that ISU is open for sorority expansion. Anyone have more info?

Expansion is a big process where the panhellenic has to vote on whether to open. Next, interested sororities submit interest packets, which Expansion Committee then reviews. From these, they select 2-3 sororities who they invited to make presentations on campus. Then, they select 1-2 of these sororities to colonize. If multiple sororities colonize, there is normally 1-3 years in between and it is called stacking.

There were supposed to be three presentations, but Delta Phi Epsilon withdrew from consideration. The remaining two sororities are Delta Gamma and Alpha Omicron Pi.

AOPi was chosen and is supposed to colonize in Fall 2015.

only problem is that you can't build boarding still houses in normal because of a city rule so you'll be stuck with no house, thus the recruitment process will be difficult

yeah, normal has that stupid rule...but there's always the possibility of getting one of the former fraternity houses. They would need a lot of renovation to be competitive, but it may be doable.

Alpha Omicron Pi was chosen. I think they will be a good fit here.

Illinois Wesleyan used to have AOPi on their campus, I wonder if any of them will be contacted to help colonize
