spring rush
by: balla223I finally have the grades to rush. I was thinking of joining a rising frat... I dont know which frats have houses and which do not. I was thinking Pi Kapp because I heard they rage! but is Pi kapp even a frat or is it a fake one like 306? otherwise I was thinking SAE because I am a legacy, but I here they are bottom tier because they are so new to the campus. Can someone fill me in?

You are new at these things so I will be honest, I'm not in SAE, and I would tell you to go SAE,Alpha Sigma Phi, or Pi Kappa. Frats come and go at ISU. TKE.. or whatever they were called was a "top" frat and is gone now. Greek life comes and goes on this campus. Just go with the one you like the best

First of all ATO is nowhere near the strongest nationals. Everyone on the planet knows that Sigma Chi and SAE are far and away the top 2 national fraternities. They have the strongest organizations, alumni base and are considered the top tier of fraternities and are the only 2 that are good in every region. ATO has a decent national reputation. However, there aren't many schools, including here, where they are a top fraternity. They are usually mid tier. After Sigma Chi and SAE, the strongest nationals are Sig Eps, LXA, Pikes, Kappa Sigs, Phi Delts, Beta Theta Pi,Sig Nu, Fiji and then maybe ATO. TKE's have a lot of chapters and members but they are bottom at almost every school. Nicholas above is right, greek life comes and goes here, so join where you feel you fit in. If i was rushing for the first time this year, I would go Sigma Chi, Pikes, Delta Chi or SAE. Only drawback with Delta Chi is that they don't have a very good national reputation and aren't good at most schools and a lot of greeks here dislike them because they have a reputation of ratting on others to get to where they are but I dont know how important that is to you.

Agd has best nationals for sororities. Sae would never associate with a house that does not have the best nationals.

yeah just like delta chi wouldn't hang out with gphis or chios because they don't have a nice enough house or with zta bc they refuse to rat on other sororities

Pi kapps suck everywhere. Sae is just a colony but will prob get their charter by end of year and r fast tracked to top tier like they r everywhere else.
