what goes on homecoming?

Is there anything that goes on special for homecoming? What exactly is pairing for homecoming?

For homecoming everyone wakes up at 7 and starts drinking. Then everyone tailgates and some people go to the game. Not sure what the pairings are for this year. "Blocking" or pairing isn't too big here,but if you pair with another fraternity or sorority, you usually just get spots next to each other
