im thinking of rushing sig nu next semester but i wanna know why they get a ton of hate? last thing i want is to join a house thats hated on campus, but from the guys ive met theyre chill

We really don't know nor do any of us care. We do our own thing.
Look into every fraternity though and join the one that has guys who's values align with yours. Besides, it only takes a couple years for a less-popular house to make a name for themselves.
