biased sorority rush
by: Lol I need to lose weightBased on what I have seen, it looks like the sororities choose their girls based on their looks. Literally everyone in chi o or zta is twig thin and pretty while girls in tri sig and pi phi are larger and clearly aren't as good looking. What qualities do girls need to have to be wanted at a top house and how much should you weight?

If you seriously want to love your sisters but still have fun socially AGD, Tri Delt, G phi, or Phi Sig are the only houses to join. These are the girls who will become best friends with and the ones who will make your stomach and face hurt from laughing too hard.
There are SO many girls in top houses who are miserable. Individually there are a lot of great girls in those houses, but as a whole there is little sisterhood or true friendship.
Truth.

Part of the issue is many of these houses don't want to lose that "image", so looks become a major deciding factor in membership selection. This trend comes from the previous years of recruitment. Look at their past composites. With some exceptions, you can totally see the pattern and the "type" they look for. And I know for a fact that there have been high tier houses who wanted certain girls but passed on them based on the image factor. I also know many women who joined higher tier houses and hated every single minute of it. Some even dropped. Some stuck it out if only for the future alum connections.
Ultimately, you should pick where you feel comfortable. But I do agree with the above that if you really want the sisterhood, go for a mid or even lower tier. After grad nobody GAF about your local tier, but a lower tier sorority maybe popular nationally. Examples from ISU include ADPi and Tri Delta. So while neither of those houses are a big deal at ISU they ARE a big deal nationally.
