it depends on the sorority some are cheaper then others but its deff worth it. they all have payment plans though, and are understanding about it. i would say go through rush if you find a house you really like stick with it. the first payment of dues arent due for a couple a months. and if you can afford it you can always drop, or find that to you, its not worth the money you can always drop. but you dont know until you try

Go thru recruitment after you have been on campus a while and have met/interacted with sorority and fraternity students. This will give you the benefit of having good grades under your belt and some knowledge of campus fraternal life in your mind.

If you have financial issues, waiting on recruitment also allows you to accumulate money from a job.
