Okay so while a bunch of girls are going to try to rank sororities and tell you which are best, I'm going to clump and describe the potential experience. In reality, the majority are great, but it matters what you are looking for...
I'll start with DZ and Chi O since everybody tends to think these are the top. These are the beautiful girls from high school. Most were cheerleaders or dancers. The frats love them. Many girls hate on them because they aren't them. Will you find your best friends? Probably. However, because these sororities tend to choose based on looks, not all the girls are so nice and they do not have the strongest sisterhood. You'll prob make a good group of friends, but there will be girls you will always feel self conscious around. Socially, you'll have an amazing experience if popularity as envy are what you're looking for. I have seen guys ditch am average group of girls for a group of these hotties.
Next let's look at Zeta. This is an interesting one because they def used to be the queens. People tend to argue that they are "slipping", but come one, they are not. They do not have as many beautiful (physically) girls as dz and chio, but they also have a higher Gpa requirement and drop girls who look too "made up." They look for the all-American type. Cheerleaders and dancers as well. Socially, you'll have a similar experience to dz and Chi o but not as many of their older members drop. IMO, they are top house.

Gphi is interesting because girls love them during recruitment then they all of a sudden are hated all year. This sorority is typically made up of the girls who did not get a bid into ZTA or DZ. People say they are more diverse, but they are not. This sorority is really split in two: you're either a party girl or you're not and rarely hang out with your sisters.
Phi Sig is the latest hype. People are raving about how they are the newest campus hotties, but their beautiful to average looking girl ratio is still like 6:4. They're okay with this. While they want the cool girls from high school, they won't sacrifice personality for looks. Socially they party a lot, frats love them, and they have a great sisterhood.
AGD and DDD are literally the same. There is absolutely no difference between the sororities minus the affiliations (even though they argue that one is better than the other). These houses are def more diverse in terms of looks in comparison to all previous houses. IMO, this is probably where you'll experience the best sisterhood. You're able to be yourself and feel comfortable, but at the same time the girls are normal and cool. Socially, they are not as loved as dz, chi o, zeta, and phi sig.
ADPi is still considered low, but they are improving. Their sisterhood is okay. Social life is lacking. Your social life is what you make of it. I have heard that it's cliquey. Their house is pretty nice.
Tri sig and Pi phi may have the nicest houses! no social life....

My best friend is not in zeta, chi o, or dz but there are still a ton of cheerleaders and dancers in her chapter. It depends what you love and where you feel at home; if you want to be looked at because of your looks and body or if you want to be looked at because you're genuine and can be yourself within your chapter. I'm not in Greek life but I really wish there weren't these rankings. These "rankings" don't help the vibe of recruitment at all. I personally feel that the "top houses" are overrated and the "middle houses" are underrated and overlooked. Go for the house that you feel most yourself in- not dependent on the rankings or things people say about the houses. My best friend went in without listening to the misconceptions and found her house and is beyond happy. She may not be in one of the top houses, but she is so happy and her other best friends are still members of top houses.

Tri sig and pbp continued...
No social life. Tri sig has a better sisterhood than pbp. You either love pbp because you were never meant to be a sorority girl, or you hate it because you wish you were in a different one. Individually, the girls are actually really cool, but they need to work on establishing a stronger sisterhood.
Aopi is like being a GDI that is close with her floor mates and attend the residence hall functions. This is a good one to join if you're just looking for semi commitment.
