by: ECU 2019I am rushing this fall and my mom was a kappa delta she wants me to go KD so I want to know why they are considered the worst sorority here. every ranking in here they're on the bottom are they bad?

My best friend/ roommate is in kappa delta here and from what I have seen they are really awesome. When ever I go out with her and her sisters they are so nice and really fun. They do a lot of stuff with fraternities, like socials. Their sisterhood is pretty good. I have been with her on campus and all of her sisters say hi or wave, you can tell the genuinely care about each other. I don't know why they are on the bottom all the time on here but in my option they aren't bad at all. I would be a KD in a heart beat! I hope this helps good luck with rush this fall

I'm not in KD but I'm friends with some and I have lots of friends who are friends with them. They're always super sweet and friendly and most of them seem really genuine.
On that note, if you're looking for a sisterhood based solely on socials or tiers, then you shouldn't even be rushing (not that you are...I'm just saying)
Don't let people's opinions, or your moms opinion, make your decision for you. I'm al alpha phi and an axid legacy but my family members understood that they weren't for me when I rushed. Seriously go in with an open mind and try your best to ignore rumors or what others think

People keep saying there are tiers but it doesn't really matter unless you are someone who listens to tiers. All the sororities are made up of different kinds of girls so it is all about going to a place where you feel most at home and the conversation flows the best with. If you love talking to the girls at one house you will most likely love being apart of them, if you can't get a convo go with the girls in what you hear is a top tier sorority then you most likely won't enjoy it there. Go in with an open mind and don't listen to what everyone is saying. Go with your gut or you won't be happy.

KD really does have nice girls but they have a few issues that have been brought to my intention this past year. First semester they did absolutely nothing. I didn't hear of a philanthropy event from them or even about them having socials. I never saw any of them on campus wearing letters or anything. Also after first semester a large portion of their sisters were on academic probation. They definitely need to step it up because they are making themselves look bad when everyone knows they are better than this. My advice: go into recruitment with an open mind, but just remember wherever you choose is how people are going to view you.

KD's big philanthropy event is in the spring semester where they raise more in one event than half the other sororities do all year. And like the person said above they have a lot of mixers but like to have them with different fraternities and not just one.

I have a lot of friends in KD and honestly they are so nice and genuine. They are social and also involved on campus plus seem to have a strong sisterhood from what I have seen. The rankings on here aren't really good because it people try and self rank and tear other sororities down. Go through recruitment with an open mind and if KD is for you good but if it isn't that is still okay. I am a legacy for another sorority and my mom understood that I fit better in another chapter. I don't like this website because it is a lot of non Greeks or mean girls that post nasty rumors about all the chapters they aren't in just to boost their self esteem up. Don't let it away you at all during recruitment. Good luck!

A) how are you in college? your grammar is horrible. B) brought to your attention? who the hell are you? C) how would you know about another organizations socials? did you want them to post banners on the mall every time they had one so everyone would know? if you've been around for more than 5 minutes you would know this group is one of the most social on campus, they just do stuff with different organizations instead of the same fraternity.
