sororities doing spring rush/or not met quota?

My advice would be to wait to rush in the fall during formal recruitment. This will give you a chance to visit every organization before making a decision. Unless you really know what house you want to go to and want to join ASAP, formal recruitment will provide you with more options. Also, so many people rush as sophomores, it's not uncommon at all. But if you really want to join in the spring, then go for it. I'm just not sure which organizations are doing spring recruitment.

I think AOPI is doing spring rush this year...I know they didnt reach their quota. Also Alpha Phi is handing out snap bids (sketchy), so Im not sure if they are still doing that. Honestly each sorority does it differently if they are going to do spring rush so it's mostly about reaching out or knowing people in the spring.

We did not meet quota during formal recruitment because we were able to drop a lot of girls each night and we played it in our favor and dropped the maximum amount of girls each night. In doing so, we knew we would have to do COB and during COB we voluntarily only handed out 7 of our 13 bids that we needed to make quota. We were willing to take that risk during COB and do Spring recruitment. However, it is not confirmed to that we have to do it since you only have to do spring recruitment if your sorority is under campus total/quota. This number isn't done until after fall semester to take into account of how many girls have dropped from all sororities and what not. There could be a chance that we do not have to do it all and there is a chance that a sorority who met quota fall semester and lost a lot of girls will have to do spring recruitment. That is why we didn't make quota, but no sorority knows yet if they have to do spring recruitment or not. I hope this answered everyone's questions & concerns!
