Greek life at ISU is sub-par currently, and doomed to fail in the long run. Chapters have been consistently kicked off campus, leading to a disinterest in Alumni funding of houses etc. , which eventually leads to the housing situation currently facing the greek community where chapters have to fight over the scarce and crap quality homes Young America chooses to hand out to greeks. Greeklife here really is just luck of the draw, and I honestly think there is no such thing as a "Top" House anymore, only "Established" (Been on campus for 5 plus years) and new frats. I don't regret rushing, I love being a part of greek life, but I would really stress to ANY freshman rushing a fraternity to realize that this isn't the UofI, you have to be smart and can't be "Frat stars" with no repercussions, unless you want to get kicked off.
