Greek life at Princeton takes a different form. Yes, there are fraternities that are, for whatever reason, not displayed on GreekRank. They are in full swing and active, but they mostly serve as accessories to the more dominant form of "greek life" at Princeton-- the eating clubs. The eating clubs are essentially a series of mansions on Prospect Ave, each with their own distinct architectural style, traditions, parties, member stereotypes, and reputations. Participation in the eating clubs is crazy high at Princeton, between 68 and 72 percent of Princeton students being members of them. Look, are they huge state school parties? Nope. But is the eating club system extremely fun and lively in its own aristocratic, ivy league way? Hell yeah. Frats and sororities do exist, and they are participated in by a decent portion of the student body, but the eating clubs DOMINATE the social scene. It is huge. It is fun. It is special. It can't be ignored if you go here. Princeton greek life rules, it just doesn't fit the same mold as that of other schools.
