If you want to go greek, you will most likely get into an organization. Just make a few upperclassmen friends in the org you want to get into first semester during informal recruitment and you will most likely be fine unless you really screw up before formal recruitment which is why it’s super easy to go greek if you’re an athlete, but still very easy to rush as a NARP. Right now, most of campus is Greek but less and less people seem to be rushing each year. Unfortunately very little diversity but what can you do at a school that has little diversity to begin. For how small the school is, there’s a super weird tier system that stays fixed no matter how great the newest PC of chi o’s/pi phi’s/pikes/lambdas may be, or how bad the newest chi psis/kappas may be. Not necessarily a bad thing, unless you’re in a “bottom tier” greek organization and make it your personality trait and try to social climb. It won’t happen. It’s possible to have a social life as an indie, but it’s much easier to have a more robust social life in a Greek organization, even if it is a bottom tier organization.
