the thing you have to remember is that iowa is a big 10 school and is not in the south where greek life has a bigger presence. definitely has the big typical party school vibe. rushing is definitely less stressful than at other schools because headshots, letters of rec, etc are not required. as long as you stay true to yourself, dress for the occasion, and trust the process, you will find the perfect house for you. if you want to join greek life, go for it! although it seems to have a major presence on campus, you definitely don't need to join a frat or sorority to have a fun time in college here. there's always parties, but if that's not your speed you can always head downtown and have a fun night at the bars.
