Greek life at UH may be small, but it’s a great way to connect with others. Less people = smaller pledge classes = you knowing your pledge sisters and brothers more. Everyone is very involved on campus even outside of Greek life. People may talk crap because our school doesn’t have “traditional” southern Greek life, but the culture is not as toxic and gives you the ability to make real friends within the community - unlike universities where your pledge class is 100 people. There are definitely issues like in any community to be fixed, but with everything going on, the community has been doing a lot of internal work to correct issues by advisors and members. Hopefully if things stay on track, there will be even more chapters in the future and Greek life will continue to grow.
