Everybody is so paranoid and distrustful of each other at Albany. Just follow the discussion threads and read the various posts. There is no alumni support for Greeks and everybody hates and suspects everybody else. It is hunting season year-round on traditional Greek fraternities and sororities and all of the student bars are closed except one, which is now hard to get into. Albany is a social wasteland and the student ghetto is physically dangerous. Violent crimes against students are on the rise. The city had fifteen (15) homicides just last year! This was unheard of back in the day. Greeks now live in a climate of official persecution, legal harassment, and violent crime. Garbage collection in the city is sporadic; consequently there was a yellow-jacket infestation in the student ghetto as late as September when I visited that neighborhood. The City is totally unrecognizable today. Sad times...
