Graduating in a week and wanting to give a little summary I guess on my experience here, coming from a guy who was originally in two low ranked houses and ended up in a “top 5†house for the rest of my 3 1/2 years here. Everything is really cliquey here, the guys around me were rude to any girls who weren’t in top houses and I feel by the end of my time here I turned into one of them, if not worse. The parties are amazing, but partying 4 nights a week gets tiring, and there’s always fights between the competitive frats at this school weekly, my only advice is if you don’t want to go Greek and ur not the type of person for it then just don’t go to WSU (if ur a guy) I feel at a school without a Greek system it could be just as fun living with 4 guys in a house throwing kickbacks than 100+ people ragers weekly. I stuck with it because I just wanted to be popular, ultimately dropping the two houses I was more alike because they weren’t cool and while I definitely had the best 4 years of my life here I feel it turned me into a worse person overall. Obviously this can’t be completely judged on the Greek system, but if you are something who obsesses over popularity and what people think about you then I really do think the Greek system is a negative impact, maybe I’d feel different if i had been in one of the calmer fraternities who didn’t base everything off reputation but who knows. On the plus side, by far the hottest girls in the entire U.S go to WSU compared to any other school I know apart from ASU or Florida, and there’s often a stupid abundance of them ( 4-1 ratios at parties isn’t uncommon) but 4 years of this life really tires you out eventually
