Greek life at SJU is a smalller Greek community of only 3 feats and 5 sororities. The community could do a lot better if the administration supported them instead of keeping them under a microscope. There are no houses. The community as a whole is not very close but it’s not uncommon for people to be friends with those from other chapters. Sorority recruitment is competitive if you want to go aphi, which almost every girl does. That being said, if you go through the recruitment process you’re basically guaranteed to get in to one of the orgs. Frat recruitment is just a mess. Do not rush if you expect it be like Greek life at a southern school, you will be disappointed. Overall, the people in Greek life are really involved in other orgs on campus and in service.
