2 years ago, any one of the several houses used to throw at least one party every single day, but the too many hospital transports and other party-related injuries caused people to take action against Greek life. Now most frats are on probation and can’t throw parties as easily. Because of this, frat rankings and tiers, and other superficial things matter more because it is hard to host events in the first place. The Greek life at Cal has taken a hit and has killed the social scene. It has become much safer to party, but Berkeley handled Greek life very stupidly and has made it much less enjoyable. Hopefully things change :(
