Comment:  I remember feeling uncomfortable at y'all's Open House last year because it killed me to think there would be girls who'd opt to join at that point. Luckily, there is some good potential. I don't see any problem with taking smaller, MUCH more carefully selected pledge classes. Y'all recruit year round anyway and selectivity could work to your benefit. So could some miraculous work on your "house."
