Comment:  Not really sure why SPE is still around. I've neither seen nor heard of a SPE event taking place and their recruitment gets worse each year (50 bids and 14 pledges this year), which can't be helped by their reputation for particularly harsh pledging. I don't know why anyone would submit to such strenuous pledging to join such a mediocre organization. I personally believe that SPE is on its way out and will lose their Patterson Court house within the next 3-4 years.
