Comment:  The guys in charge are paranoid about losing their recently earned charter so they gave up on having fun. They think they can compensate by being increasingly involved in philanthropy, community service, treating pledges like kings, and wearing a bow tie to pick up their laundry. There is no central unity that a "brotherhood" should have, instead there are all these different cliques where everyone just talks about one another and complains about their boredom.
