Comment:  Being required to attend an event and one's ability to fulfill that requirement is arbitrary if we did not choose to attend the event voluntarily. Being a leader isn't about how others perceive us based upon attending or not attending a "mandatory" leadership seminar. Life goes beyond the regulations of university greek life, which most of them will not help us after college what so ever. Don't do things to look good in front of others, do them because you want to and they mean something to you.
