Comment:  I went through recruitment last year and while I didn't choose them, everyone I talked to were always friendly and steered the conversation to topics that they thought I'd be interested in. (I've had conversations in "higher tier" sororities where when they made me feel embarrassed when we didn't have much in common, then gave up and switched to talking about themselves exclusively). I think they get a bad reputation for being a mixed bag/taking anyone, but I think it's also because they try to keep it as values-based as they can (don't come for me saying everyone does values based recruitment because that's just not true unfortunately). Not for everyone if you're joining for frat bros or "reputation", but they seem to genuinely try to get to know each other.
