Comment: I initiated into DDD, but transferred schools in the summer. I’ll be really honest: DDD will be very friendly to you when you rush. Even if they plan to drop you, you’ll feel welcomed. Call it fake, but at least every pnm feels like they belong. They are seriously old south $. Members include girls from some of the wealthiest families in the USA. However, they are also down to earth and love outdoor things like fishing and hiking. It’s true they prefer southern girls, and heavily favor Alabama girls. After all, their alum support is ALL from the south, especially Alabama alums. Alum involvement is strong, especially during rush, and I never once met an alum not born and raised in the south. Still, if you are an outstanding pnm from OOR, you will def be considered and even invited to join. Just know you’ll be expected to act like the utmost southern belle once you pledge, so you better learn how to act! DDD girls are all different and can be themselves. The chapter truly does embrace that. They do tend to stick to old row boys, especially since they aren’t just old row, but also 1st Circle. Even though they primarily stick to Old Row boys, they are friendly and sweet in general. They have a strong gpa and campus involvement-including politics in Alabama and DC. Honestly it’s the best sorority on campus - in terms of the hardest to get a bid to. They have the highest rate of returns each round and have to do the deepest number of cuts. They have rounds with 100% return rates. It’s crazy. But that many PNMs want to join. Their rush has always been good for decades, but it has really gotten even more competitive in the last couple of year. They have a really cute and sweet rush advisor that makes the stressful rush process really fun. Downside: if you’re not from the south, you might feel uncomfortable if you don’t understand southern social expectations. Also, lots of old rich alum involvement so be prepared to answer to them. They also tend to stick to dad bod rich boys. However, we all know about Morgan Wallen and his fav Alabama DDD, so I guess that makes everything right again.
