Comment:  they hosted a thalassemia awareness week last yr and as someone who has this condition, it was nice to see an organization raise awareness for a condition that doesn't get a lot of coverage. i stayed in contact with them since their thal workshop and they've been keeping me updated on good news. some of the people who went to their blood drive have continued to donate blood and they're making thal their chapter philanthropy, while having bca as their national philanthropy. as people, they are so kind and as a community, it's so nice to see them feel so strongly about a cause
