Comment: As a member of this chapter, it truly breaks my heart to come on here and talk about the drama, bullying, and overall lack of sisterhood our chapter has. When going through recruitment it was very important to me that I found a true sisterhood and I thought gphi was that. I know that not all of us are going to get along, but we all should at least have a level of respect for one another. There shouldn't be rumors and lies spread about other sisters or the leaders of this chapter. Countless times, I have heard other members speak negatively about others, whether it be chapter-related or personal matters. Even exec members or members in leadership roles would be rude or speak poorly about other members in the chapter. Exec never made them selfs truly approachable our Sunday chapters aren't effective, it just exec talking about upcoming events we can't miss, financial responsibilities, group behavior, and random slides. In one of our chapters, we were told that we weren't dressing nice enough. There was also a chapter where our chapter advisor spoke to us addressing the Degrading Greek Rank post made about the chapter and she emphasized that we were the meanest group of girls she had ever met. The house has also played a big role in the drama of the chapter, with house girls bullying and isolating one another as well as being rude and unwelcoming to non-house members. There have been various occasions where house girls would send passive-aggressive texts to the chapter about being in the house and leaving their belongings around(when we all have the right to because we all pay dues). There was one text sent in the group chat from out-of-house girls asking if there would be a make-up chapter dinner since they missed two dinners because of maintenance in the house, The house manager then replied in a passive-aggressive manner to inform the girls that they would have to contact the company the our chef works for to get there questions answered. The constant lack of respectful and sisterly communication is so disheartening to see. We are all willing to turn on each other for the littlest of things. That's not what sisterhood is, we should be able to communicate without fear of judgment or drama. I know I might seem like I am adding to that by coming on here and posting this, especially after the posts that were made on her a few months back, but I do feel it is important for others to know the truth about this chapter and it is from someone who is actively in it. Hopefully, we can change and improve because I don't believe this is the type of sisterhood our founders pictured.
