Comment:  In Delta Gamma, I learned that I’m beyond acceptance. It felt like I was back in middle school - the irredeemable “weird kid” who actually wasn’t all that different from anyone else. They sell you this idea of sisterhood that just isn’t there for everyone. I spent my whole time there hoping it would get better, but it never did. I wish I had dropped; keeping up with their arbitrary rules and mandatory events was such a burden. If you are considering greek life, keep this in mind: it can be great for some people. If you want to try it, go for it. Just be critical about what you’re actually getting out of it and if it doesn’t serve you, leave.
