Comment:  No one chooses SDT, you end up there after getting rejected by everyone else. The cliques are very bad and it's fueled by the toxic "family" dynamic based on who your big is. The cliques are basically mini exclusionary sororities within the sorority. The girls who are in the cliques will go on and on about how great the sisterhood is, but there definition of sisterhood only includes a fraction of the sorority. The girls who aren't in the cliques usually end up dropping. Nationals is utterly useless and doesn't step in unless the chapter is on the verge of collapsing. (This chapter isn't known for being "smart" but Greek Rank doesn't have an option for "none of the above")
