Comment:  I was in this sorority for 2 years but ended up dropping because of how fake everyone was. I don’t get the point of letting in women who don’t fit the typical sorority type if they are just going to ostracize those women. Anyone who didn’t make the sorority their entire personality was ruthlessly gossiped about and mocked by their “sisters”. I saw it happening to women in my pledge class but I was worried if I said anything about it bc then it would happen to me. During quarantine I was going through a difficult time and I expressed that to exec. Instead of being supportive or making any accommodations, the exec team told everyone the information I shared with them privately and I became the laughingstock of the chapter. It was humiliating. When was SA’d my freshman year, I had to miss chapter to file a police report. They made me provide PROOF to show I wasn’t lying about why I missed the meeting or they were going to fine me $80. I understand that in most cases you need documentation, but this was an incredibly inappropriate way to handle this situation. So insensitive and a horrifying abuse of power. There’s a reason everyone with a personality drops this chapter. They are mean girls who tear each other down and get off on creating a hierarchy between social groups.
