Comment:  When I dropped this sorority I left in the most respectful way possible. Since then they have done nothing but trash me and my reputation. A year after dropping I am still hearing false rumors about me, even though I’m at a completely new school. During my time in KD I was excluded, made to feel unworthy, and only valued for dating my boyfriend at the time (who was in a frat on campus). When I finally had enough self respect to leave I was met with stunned silence and tension. Of course, there are some girls who were very kind, but the overall reaction to me leaving was pure mean girl energy. I have not spoke a single negative word about this sorority until now, because I have quite frankly had enough. I left cordially in hopes they wouldn’t talk about me, but now that’s it’s been a year and I am still hearing rumors. I now realize there is nothing to lose. I am sadly still their topic of conversation. Just don’t join Greek life at EIU in general, the culture is so toxic.
