Comment:  I was a member (those who recognize the nickname of this post and claim otherwise, shame on you). This advice is geared towards future women who are considering joining this sorority. They do not care about mental health. The current members and adults closely affiliated with this chapter are powered on complete power trips funded by your money and have the complete authority to black list you from participating in events with no reason at all. The new members are overwhelmed with love bombing, which displays a false idea of what this chapter is for older members; by then it's too late and you've signed a contract to pay for an entire year. They make the environment uncomfortable for women they decide they no longer want in the sorority. Leaving this chapter took a lot of help from a psychologist who actually defined the events and language used by members as a cult. Please, save yourself the trouble and do not pledge. This is a cash cow to headquarters, and a toxic environment for women to bully and shame other women for no reason at all.
