Comment:  I never thought that in my lifetime I would be taking time out of my day to write something on greek rank. However, there are some things I feel that are important to address coming from a girl in the greek system here at UW. First and foremost, the lack of diversity in this house is uncomfortable. Obviously, greek life lacks diversity in general but this house is built around elitism and lookism that caters to primarily white, rich gentlemen to an extreme. As someone who attended events at this house, I felt uncomfortable and really out of place as a guest. I did not feel welcomed. I did not feel respected. And I truly believe people have to conform to a certain "type of person" to be able to get along and be seen in this type of environment. I am not saying all of the guys in the house are like this (because good and bad people exist everywhere) however you will not find that the majority treats everyone equally and with kindness and respect. The social ladder, the guys with big egos who think they are better than everyone simply because they are in a "top" house makes me feel like I am in high school all over again.
