Comment:  Alpha gamma delta, to me, was a lot like hanging on to a toxic boyfriend. I got fed lie after lie about how they were gonna do things for me, and that I had found my home and I’d have sister. They’d give us bits and pieces here and there, like really good food and movie nights and sisterhood events that were well put together and whatnot, but the reality was that it was all a bandaid on the fact that the sorority was extremely cliquey and had no central sisterhood. Girls moved in packs, and if you were alone and didn’t get lucky to have a popular big in a good family, you were sh it out of luck. I felt more isolated and depressed than I had before I joined alpha gam, which sucked because I joined because I felt as though I was becoming a part of a judgement free sisterhood who genuinely cared for each other. I’ve never seen more conditional love in my life. I made the mistake of joining, and now I can never find a real sorority ever again, which sucks a lot. But at least I’m not a part of such a life force-draining organization anymore.
