Comment:  Definitely an undercurrent of homophobia running through this organization that is kind of an “open secret” within the Greek organizations. I’m not saying every phi mu is homophobic because obviously that’s not true and I’m sure there are a few LGBT sisters but overall, if you are LGBT or an ally, I would not go phi mu. Literally every other sorority on UM’s campus is more accepting and making a concerted effort to be more inclusive besides Phi Mu. There’s just an air of passive aggression and disapproval towards their LGBT sisters I’ve noticed. Also, they tend to try to go for girls who have that typical “sorority look”-blonde, traditionally pretty, thin, fit beauty standards. This is problematic to me.
