Comment:  Girls going through rush, I wish I had asked these questions when I was in your shoes. If I had known these things, I wouldn't have had to drop. 1. What is your sorority known for? 2. How long is your new member period? (This can range from 4-12 weeks.) 3. How much is the new member fee? (several hundred dollars) 4. How much is the membership fee each year? (You'll end up spending close to $1,000 for dues, formals, t-shirts, gifts, etc.) Once you do pledge a sorority, if you second guess your decision or struggle financially, DO NOT go through initiation. Once you're initiated and drop, you won't be able to rejoin later or join another sorority.
