Comment:  The girls were pretty rude to me and no one really tried to welcome me at all. This was my first time being in a sorority as well so I was very much aware of nothing to be honest. It just all seemed too fake even though I really do not want to use that word against them, but it’s the truth. As a person of color, it’s just not a place where I felt like I belong. I was looked upon as if I was a wild animal to them. One of the girls, she commented on my outfit one time and said you should dress up more fancy. Towards that specific event, I did not have the money to buy the fancy clothes they had worn. It hurt me a lot knowing I wasn’t able to be like them. But I shouldn’t have to change the way I look or dress just because they told me to. It kinda just sucked in my experience.
