Comment:  Ok, please keep in mind: I am not affiliated w/ greek life at SMU; like at all. However, I'm noticing a very common denominator amongst sororities (can't attest for frats). "Lower-tier" sororities like Alpha Chi tend to have all the minority women who've rushed whereas Theta caters to a very specific type of girl: white and wealthy. I've had BIPOC friends feel uncomfortable during rush by the way they were felt out of place when talking to them. They seem like nice girls - albeit tone deaf - but white girls with spray tan don't constitute people of color. Theta (and other sororities, too!) need to do better.
