Comment:  I am a SigEp, and when my son was entering UT I took him to the house to introduce him to the fraternity with an interest in pledging. It was early summer, and they said it was too early to rush but got his contact information and said they would definitely let him know. Nobody ever contacted him, so when he got to campus he went to the house and they told him sorry rushis over, too bad, very curtly. Nice way to treat a legacy. BTW, my son was National Merit Scholarship winner with 1500 SATs and a varsity athlete.
