Comment: As someone who is a dphie member i have had good and bad experiences with this sorority. They are definitely not the most popular or coolest. They are considered bottom tier if you care about that. However many of the women are comfortable in their own skin and they do focus on empowering others. It is a mixed bag and can be cliquey. You will find friends, but you will likely not be friends with everyone in the chapter. You can have good times and go out, but also chill. They recruit based on values, which contributes to the ‘mixed bag’ feeling. But in the same way, it’s cool because i think they’re very inclusive. Since they don’t have a set “type” like other sororities, they are maybe more open to expanding greek life to people who normally don’t feel like greek life is for them. If you think any sorority is perfect, you’re wrong. Dphie has its issues, but it’s a good and honest fit for a lot of women. There are things they need to work on, but i think their inclusivity is a plus. Ultimately theres not a huge difference between dphie and other bottom/middle tier sororities. Many girls would fit into any of these, whether they like to admit it or not. Dphie has great philanthropies, but so do sk, chio, tri sigma, kd, etc. find out what you’re passionate about and go from there.
