Comment: Proud middle tier alum here! Been out of college for a few years & wondered if greek rank was still as superficial and misleading as it used to be. Unfortunately, everyone still is very concerned with ranks. My advice would be to seriously find somewhere that you love. You will find cool, fantastic, interesting people in every house on this campus. If you go with a house based on rankings and don't like the people- college itself will not be enjoyable for you and outside of the 4 years on campus, your experience will mean nothing. Trust the system! You will find where you belong and rankings in the end do not end up mattering. If you meet someone from campus in college or even after college who is worth knowing, it does not matter what "tier" your house is in. I look back at my time with Pi Phi and wouldn't change it! This chapter gave me many opportunities to expand my college career socially, as well as in leadership. Pi Phi has always had a diverse mix of personalities, backgrounds, majors, and interests and this makes you such a well-rounded woman. I got fantastically lucky and loved my pledge class as well all others while I was an active member. I never felt like I missed out on any opportunities from being in a middle tier house because your college greek life experience is what you make of it!! I found so many friends in this house & outside of my house along the way and that matters the most. Remember that no one is ever entitled to tell you how to feel about your own house and don't forget that! Ring Ching, ladies!
