Comment: I joined this sorority to find sisterhood and friends, basically a place of belonging. I tried being put on a payment plan, since I financially struggled deeply. But, was rejected and they needed $350 upfront. That was stressful enough.. I missed only two new member classes, due to an illness and informed them. (Not the preferred way, but they still received me telling them I was going to be absent) For the badge meeting, I supplied and purchased my own badge. I also did chip in $200 of the $350 payment. (A reasonable amount to begin with) Then, I get a direct message from one of the main girls in the sorority saying that I’m kicked due to not paying fully and missing some classes. She tried telling me that they tried contacting me prior before kicking me, but that was a lie and I never received any other messages prior. It was going to be “big and little week” I was ambitious to find my potential sister and forever friend since I am somewhat antisocial and saw this as a way for me to grow. They don’t refund me the $200 I already paid, even though I was removed for not meeting their standards. Also, they did say I could get a refund on the pin I paid for myself. If, I pay the rest of the $150 I owe then I’ll get about $35 for the pin, which I paid $40 for. I am very displeased with all of this. Wasn’t my decision to drop, but if they are going to treat me this way when im financially not in the best situation and ill.. then I don’t want to be apart of it.
