Comment:  When I went to their room at recruitment, I felt out of place. The girls pride themselves on having a strong sisterhood, but when a few girls messed up their speech, the President scowled. It was beyond awkward. I stay out of drama and gossip in the Greek community, but all of my interactions with DPhiE girls have shown me how poorly they talk about other sororities. Many girls have expressed how their reputation as “uglier” girls makes them try to be kind instead of stereotypically pretty. I’ve comforted girls affected by this harmful stereotype. At the end of the day, I don’t think the girls are very kind. Some are, but many like to be mean when referencing other girls. Coming from another sorority with harmful stereotypes as well, I understand it can hurt. But for an organization that says they’re the most authentic, I’m surprised at how mean you all can be.
