Comment:  I don’t want this post to come off as unnecessarily mean, or unfair. I just believe that girls should go into recruitment knowing what I didn’t know. I believe everyone should have a positive sisterhood experience. I thought SDT was it for me, but over the years it has proved to be the opposite. If this chapter works for you, wonderful, but people should be informed of the realities in this chapter. The Exec board cliques have ruined this chapter, and the sense of inferiority has been a self fulfilling prophecy. All the girls in this chapter complain about how other sororities act, but they act just the same or worse. Nationals sends counselors who are essentially just there to relive their college days and who foster this clique mentality. The chapter is so bad a sister action committee was started to bring complaints to exec board. They haven’t taken it seriously, and have placed people within the committee who are sympathetic to them. It’s really not surprising we have the lowest memeber retention rates. How are new girls supposed to enjoy this chapter when even founding members have been dropping over the last few years? I truly hope this chapter can make a turnaround. For awhile things where looking up. However, poor decisions have been made in terms of message and management. I wish them the best though.
