University:  University of Kansas - KU

Greek Organization:  Alpha Chi Omega

Author:  Alpha Chi’s

Comment:  This sorority has changed a lot over the years. It’s newer than some of the other sororities at Ku and has taken a while to develop a positive reputation. With that being said, the last 2 pledge classes have really been strong and I predict their reputation will continue to evolve in a positive way over the next few years. I wouldn’t say there is any sort of strong stereotype negative or positive about these girls right now. The house is far from campus and really isn’t appealing at all from the outside, however because it is one of the newer houses, the inside of the house feels new and clean. I have a couple of friends who are Alpha Chi’s and their rooms are really nice plus they don’t have sleeping dorms so I guess that kinda makes up for the house being so far from campus. I am a Chi O and I came from out of state and Alpha Chi was one of the other sororities that was really welcoming to me and other out of state girls. So if you are coming from out of state and are unsure if you have the connections to be in a top 4 house like Kappa, Theta, Pi Phi or Chi O, I would definitely consider Alpha Chi bc it definitely is an upper middle tier house that really has been recruiting well recently. I remember reading these being clueless before I went through recruitment, so I’m writing this just to help some of you girls reading this who may not be familiar with the houses on campus. Best of luck to anyone going through recruitment!
