Comment:  It's an intoxicating feeling when you join Gamma Phi — your social calendar fills up instantly, and from then on you're unconditionally supported by ~60 girls in your new pledge class, and that's without even mentioning the amazing older members. I'm only posting because I would have wanted to know that before I rushed; it would have helped with all of the unnecessary worrying!
