University:  University of South Alabama - USA

Greek Organization:  Sigma Alpha Epsilon

Author:  SAE Was Reading That

Comment:  To the poster below, everything you just said is wrong. They don't just hand out bids to any goober that wants to join. They are selective and only take good quality guys. In fact, some of their brothers actually turned down bids from other established houses. In addition, they've already recruited over 10 guys and have plenty more joining this semester which is saying something considering most frats only recruit 5-8 guys during the spring. And every brother in SAE is a good guy working to make their fraternity something. They've probably done more work in half a semester getting SAE started than most frats do in an entire year. Yes, it's gonna take time to build something from the ground-up, but they're way ahead compared to when ATO first started up at South with their recruiting, alumni support, and establishing a good brotherhood. SAE doesn't care if they have 15 guys or 50; to them it's always going to be about quality over quantity, brotherhood over dues, and reestablishing the great type of fraternity they had at South back in the day. Every SAE I've met has been a nice guy and I don't see them deviating from that standard anytime soon. Give them a chance.
